MAKASSAR, Aktualita.co — The Barru Regency Government is strengthening the quality of its public services through a partnership with the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) of South Sulawesi Province.
This synergy is being realized through the provision of treasury services at the Barru Regency Public Service Mall (MPP). The commitment was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding on the Synergy of Treasury Service Provision at the MPP, signed by Barru Regent Andi Ina Kartika Sari and the Head of the DJPb South Sulawesi Regional Office, Hari Utomo.
The signing took place at the DJPb South Sulawesi Regional Office building in Makassar on Thursday (10/1/2026).
This collaboration is aimed at improving the quality, accessibility, effectiveness, and efficiency of state treasury services for the public and stakeholders in Barru Regency.
In its implementation, the Barru Regency Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (DPMPTSP) will work in synergy with the Parepare Type A1 State Treasury Service Office (KPPN).
Treasury consultation services will be located on the ground floor of the Barru Regent's Office Tower as part of the effort to strengthen the functions of the Public Service Mall.
These services are scheduled to be available every first and third Friday of each month. The scope of services includes treasury consultations, information regarding service requirements, and support for service facilities and infrastructure.
Regarding the division of tasks, the Barru Regency Government, through the DPMPTSP, is responsible for providing service facilities, supporting coordination, and promoting the availability of these services to the public.
Meanwhile, KPPN Parepare will provide qualified personnel, operational equipment, and various materials necessary for treasury services.
The presence of these services is expected to reduce the distance for the public and stakeholders who require consultations and information regarding the state treasury.
Furthermore, this partnership is part of an effort to strengthen collaboration between local and central governments in improving the quality of public services in Barru Regency.
Barru Regent Andi Ina Kartika Sari emphasized that the local government is committed to ensuring that transfer funds from the central government are utilized optimally and effectively.
“The transfer funds we receive are truly well-targeted and certainly assist the programs we have committed to, particularly in realizing the vision of a Barru that is fair, sustainably advanced, and prosperous more quickly,” said Andi Ina.
She also highlighted Barru Regency's achievements in the health sector. According to her, Barru received an award from the central government regarding access to and the quality of health services in South Sulawesi.
Due to this achievement, Barru Regency received an additional Regional Incentive Fund of IDR 2 billion, which will be used to support the improvement of health services for the community.
“The Vice Regent and I do not need awards just for recognition. Awards must correspond with what is happening on the ground and what the community is receiving,” she asserted.
Andi Ina hopes that coordination between the Barru Regency Government, the DJPb South Sulawesi Regional Office, and KPPN Parepare can continue to be strengthened, not only in treasury services but also in supporting economic growth and improving the quality of public services in the region.
“Hopefully, we will continue to improve and become even better in the future to provide the best service for the people of Barru Regency,” she concluded.
