BOJONEGORO, JurnalPost.com – The presence of BRILink agents in residential neighborhoods now does more than just assist with financial transactions; it serves as a solution when urgent needs arise outside of standard banking hours. This is particularly true when PLN electricity tokens run out unexpectedly at night.

In several areas of Bojonegoro, these services can be found at local grocery stores and 'Toko Madura' outlets that remain open until late. Residents utilize BRILink services to purchase electricity tokens without having to travel to distant payment counters.

Ahmad, the owner of a BRILink agent outlet at a Toko Madura (38), noted that electricity token purchases are among the most frequent transactions, especially at night. It is not uncommon for customers to arrive after their home power has already cut out due to depleted tokens.

"Residents often come late at night because their electricity tokens have run out. Some have just returned from work, while others only realize it after the power goes out. They buy tokens here immediately because it is closer and more practical," he said.

According to Ahmad, the immediate nature of electricity needs makes token purchase services essential for the community, especially since his shop stays open longer than many other payment service providers.

He explained that the token purchase amounts vary, ranging from Rp20 thousand to Rp200 thousand, depending on individual household needs.

"At night, the priority is usually just getting the power back on. Some buy Rp20 thousand or Rp50 thousand worth. The important thing is that household activities can resume," he added.

The presence of BRILink agents in neighborhood shops is also considered to make it easier for rural communities to access various financial services. In addition to buying electricity tokens, residents can perform money transfers, cash withdrawals, cash deposits, and pay various bills all in one place.

For Ahmad, these services are about more than just transactions; they are about supporting the daily needs of his neighbors. "If someone comes because their power is out, we try to serve them as quickly as possible. It is rewarding to know that after they leave, the lights in their homes turn back on," he concluded.
